The First Tee in Queenstown
Well underway are classes led by leading coach Jamie McIsaac. Start-up of the programme has been supported by Sport Otago and proceeds from a charity tournament held in Queenstown last year. Local schools are being approached to become involved at an extremely reasonable cost. Coaching and admin manuals as well as junior clubs have been donated by First Tee sponsor, Cleveland Golf (Tel: +64 4 5270986). SNAG (Starting New At Golf) equipment is also providing strong support.
A Charity Golf Tournament is being held at Queenstown Golf Club on 18th December to support this new venture and to assist children from low income families to participate. For an entry form contact Matthew Judd (03-4429169 x 1).
